Since 2018, Apple Box has served as the sole production provider for the event as part of an ongoing partnership with Atlanta-based Cox Enterprises – a leading communications, automotive and media company and primary partner for the Techstars Atlanta accelerator program.
By holding the pitch-style event at Cox’ headquarters in 2018 & 2019, we were able to maximize visibility to potential investors, minimize event spend without sacrificing production quality.
Scenic design, graphic design, technical planning, show logistics and day-of execution all provided by the Apple Box brain trust of event experts.
The startup accelerator program stayed fully operational amidst the chaos brought on by 2020 and we still needed to “set the stage” to showcase the progress made by the tech founders, but in a safe, socially distanced manner.
The result? An hour long fast-paced broadcast featuring two socially-distanced remote hosts and virtual pitches by the tech founders streamed live to hundreds of online viewers.
Demo Day was back and better than ever to a live audience featuring 10 of the brightest and best tech founders with innovative business models.
“We were excited by the opportunity to bring the Atlanta tech community back together again while providing an online viewing option for those that felt safer joining remotely. The theater had the feeling of a long-awaited ‘family reunion’ and it was incredible to once again harness the power of live events, building a sense of community and shared purpose” says Apple Box co-founder, Taylor Estes.
